Most stock S58 turbos stay almost silent under normal driving. This set of 2 mod changes that. By machining anti-surge style ports into the compressor cover and fitting a custom billet insert, the factory turbo starts producing a clear, high-pitched whistle and stronger spool note the moment boost builds.
Nothing else about the turbo is altered. Airflow, lag, reliability and boost control remain exactly as BMW intended. No software changes are needed. The only thing that changes is how the car sounds when you put your foot down.
Made for the OEM twin turbos in the G80/G81 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2. Aftermarket inlet pipes help the new sound come through more clearly, but the mod works fine on a completely stock setup.
